"I don’t think you can quite prepare for the impact that giving birth - whether vaginally or via C-section - has on the body, or really understand how valuable taking time to rest is. After experiencing 9 months of pregnancy and then giving birth to a baby, your pelvic floor needs to be taken care of (strengthened and restored to what it was before birth!) and care needs to be taken to recover from the abdominal separation that occurs naturally during pregnancy. The Komu resources include useful tips on safe exercising and movement that you can do to strengthen your body in the postnatal period." - Kirstin Kade
